He began Kohinoor so the children of Kumbla could learn close to home.

In 2005, TM Aboobacker Haji Kohinoor opened Kohinoor Public School with a kindergarten section at Kohinoor Shopping Complex, Kumbla. For three years the school remained there, growing with the families who trusted it with their children.

In 2009 the school moved to its own building at Kodiyamma. From that campus it has grown into a secondary school, still held by the care and purpose with which it was founded.

Abdul Rahiman Kohinoor is Administrator of Kohinoor Public School at Kodiyamma. Families meet the school through the office he leads, whether they are asking about admission, planning a visit, or looking for a clear answer from the school.
